Charging an EV using power from the grid

Will the SolarEdge EV charging single-phase inverter (SE7600H-US000BNV4) charge an electric car using power from the grid when there are no solar panels attached or at night when there is no solar energy?

Hello John! Yes, this is a level 2 EV charger that uses the grid to charge the EV – when there is sufficient PV power available, it will use the PV to boost the charge all the way up to almost 10kW. Check out this SolarEdge 40A Level 2 EV Charger product page for more info and spec sheets.

Hello...in the event that you put in 120 kW of boards with the fundamental equipment (charge regulators), battery limit and inverters, you will likely be alright to run your home and your 70 kWh battery electric vehicle. You may require a diesel generator for reinforcement. Polar Power likewise makes DC generators for PV battery charging and electric vehicles. So for generally 300K you ought to be free.

Thanks for your comment. Can you be more specific about the question you have?  Thanks again.
